QU-PIC at the 28th IEEE Photonics Benelux Annual Symposium

✨ We’re thrilled to have participated in the 28th IEEE Photonics Benelux Annual Symposium, held at the University of Twente! This event brought together leaders in photonics to explore the field’s latest advancements — from fundamental research to practical applications.

Key invited speakers included:

🔹 **Carlos Alonso-Ramos** from the C2N – Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies who explored silicon photonics with periodic nanostructures and AI for enhanced circuit performance and stability.

🔹 **Fabrice Raineri** from Université Côte d’Azur presented on III-V on Silicon optical nanosources, including laser diodes and non-classical optical sources, pivotal for advancing optoelectronic applications.

🔹 **Neetesh Singh** from DESY (Germany) showcased high-power silicon photonic lasers and amplifiers using large-mode area waveguides, pushing the boundaries of power and efficiency.

🔹 **Stefanie Kroker** from Technische Universität Braunschweig and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB shared insights on integrated and meta-photonics in optical quantum metrology, essential for advancing precision experiments like atomic clocks.

The program also featured paper sessions, poster presentations, and an exhibition where our project partner ALUVIA offered a comprehensive view of photonic applications in the ultraviolet.

Exciting times for photonics — bridging academia, innovation, and industry together!
